El slopestyle es una disciplina del ski y snowboard freestyle en la que hay que ejecutar los trucos más técnicos y difíciles posibles alcanzando la mayor altura en los saltos. Es importante y se califica mejor mostrar una gran variedad de trucos antes que realizar el mismo repetidamente. Se comenzaron a celebrar competiciones con el formato de snowboard y a los pocos años se extendió al ski.
El slopestyle es uno de los eventos más populares del calendario de los X Games de Invierno. Se convirtió en un deporte olímpico, en ambas formas de ski y snowboard, en los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno 2014 en Sochi, Rusia.

Slopestyle is a discipline of freestyle skiing and snowboarding where you have to execute the most technical and difficult tricks possible reaching the highest in jumping. It's important and qualifies best to display a wide variety of tricks rather than repeatedly perform it. Competitions with the snowboarding format began and within a few years it extended to ski.
Slopestyle is one of the most popular events on the Winter X Games calendar. It became an Olympic sport, both forms of ski and snowboarding, at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
